Honey Oatmeal Cookies

- 1 cup Fredrich's Honey (250ml)
- 1/2 cup shortening (125ml)
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 ½ cups sifted flour (375ml)
- ½ teaspoon baking soda (2ml)
- ½ teaspoon salt (2ml)
- 1 2/3 cups rolled oats (425ml)
- 4 tablespoons sour milk or buttermilk (60ml)
- 1 cup raisins (250ml)
In a large bowl, cream together honey and shortening. Beat in egg until smooth. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Mix with rolled oats.
Add dry ingredients alternately with sour milk and creamed mixture. Mix well and stir in raisins. Drop by spoonful’s onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 Deg F for 12 to 15 minutes. (Makes 2 dozen cookies)
